Starla Faye Nissen

Starla Faye Nissen, 78, of Clay Center, OH passed away January 2, 2022.  Starla was born in Genoa to the late Wesley and Starla Teems.  Besides her parents, Starla was preceded in death by her husband: William L. Nissen Sr.; son: Thomas Nissen.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons: William (Rachel) Nissen Jr., Gary (Kristie) Nissen; grandchildren: Krystina Linke, Wesly Nissen, Aulora Nissen, Rian Nissen, Rilee (Veronica) Nissen, Shayne Nissen, Will Nissen; great grandchildren: Bailey Linke, Autumn Nissen, Callen Linke, Charlotte Nissen, Kendall Nissen; special friend: Cody Russell.

Starla co-authored along with her husband a book detailing the history of Clay Center for the 125th anniversary of Clay Center.  Starla was a member of Genoa Chapter Order of Eastern Stars, Genoa PTO, Clay Center Fire Auxillary.  She enjoyed watching her kids and grandkids play sports.  Starla loved crocheting, knitting and sewing.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed.
