Shelby was a woman of extraordinary creativity and warmth. Known for her incredible craftiness, whether through stained glass, polymer clay, painting or any of the countless projects she poured her heart into. She was also known to host crafting sessions for friends and family. Her home overflowed with vibrant indoor and outdoor plants, blooming under her green thumb. The kitchen was another place she truly shined, she was a great cook and loved to try new recipes. She shared a profound love with Tom Quackenbush. Together they embarked on an unforgettable journey. That voyage eventually brought them to Key West where they enjoyed a sunny chapter in their life, before moving back and settling in Michigan to be closer to family.
Family was everything to Shelby. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and (cool) aunt. She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Quackenbush, daughter, Andrea Foster, grandchildren; Tyler (Lindsay) McGannon, Payton (Aubrey)Hyder, Jake (Stephanie) Montgomery, Jessika Foster, and Luke Foster, brother; Robert Hartman, sisters; Sharon (Jose) Cordero, Sandra (Bennie) Davis, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; Robert Hartman Sr, mother; Shirley Hartman, and son; Gerald Foster.
A celebration of life information will be shared shortly.
