Shawn M Reaume, 57 of Dundee Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 28th. Shawn was born the summer of 1965 as the fourth child to Floyd and Ava Reaume. After early graduation from Bedford High School he joined the United States Marine Corps serving 6 years as an MP. During that time, he earned the Expert Rifle Badge 3 times, Sharpshooter Pistol Badge, Meritorious Mast, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and a Letter of Appreciation. After his military service he joined the Atlantic Beach Police Department in Atlantic Beach North Carolina. He earned several promotions over 26 years, retiring as Deputy Chief in 2017. He returned to Michigan and enjoyed his time woodworking under the name Wretched Oak Works By S Reaume.
Shawn is preceded in death by both his parents Floyd and Ava, his brother Scott and Sister Penney.
He is survived by his four Children: April (Seth) Bledwood of Arizona, Eryn (John) Foley at Sea; their Mother: Cheryl Delzell; Justin Taylor Reaume of North Carolina; Ashley Taylor Reaume of North Carolina; Their Mother and Shawn’s partner for 25 years Tayti Taylor; Seven grandchildren: Patrick Haney & River Mae Bledwood; Maddison “Ava”, Charleigh & Rhylie Reaume; Mylee & Addy Reaume; Four siblings including two Brothers; Steve Reaume and Lord Jay (Lady Ginny) Reaume; two Sisters: Pattie (Mark) Angove and Pam (Randy) Pudvan all from Michigan. He will also be missed by his eighteen nieces and nephews, their children and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shawn was best known for his generous nature and his ability to make everyone smile. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday November 12th; 11:00 am at Redeemer Fellowship Church, 5305 Evergreen Dr. Monroe Michigan; with a gathering for lunch following. All memorials and donations will be forwarded to Shawn’s family to assist with expenses directly related to his unexpected passing.
