Sassi Davila

Sassi Davila passed away at home on October 26, 2019 at the age of 16. She was born on 9/18/03 in Toledo, Ohio. She was adopted from The Humane Society in March, 2004 at the age of six months. Sassi chose her human that day at The Humane Society. That day, as her human peered into the cage, a playful kitty gently knocked the hat off of her head. Her human placed the hat back on and Sassi did it again. She asked to bond with Sassi for a bit. When they got into the room together, The kitty ignored her human throughout the "bonding" time; hence the name Sassi was given. Sassi was known for being independent and in charge. She directed activities within her home and often let you know when she wanted or needed something. It was not uncommon for Sassi to wake her humans in the middle of the night to be petted. She loved joining her Mom on work calls and making her presence known with continuous meowing and kitty shouting.

Sassi was a loyal companion. She could sense when someone needed extra love and support. As a young kitty, she loved playing fetch with toy mice, sunning her belly and showing off her pinky paw. Every Christmas, she would drag her kiss kiss bears up the Christmas Tree and play with ornaments. As Sassi matured, she enjoyed napping, sunning on her window perch, eating treats and snuggling with her Mom. Sassi had a big heart but only shared with a chosen few. She loved being the center of attention and being told that she was the best kitty in the whole world.

She is survived by her parents, Joe and Jean Davila, sisters Simone and LuLu, many Aunts, Uncles and human/dog/kitty cousins. She will always be in our hearts.
