Ruby Thornton, 63, of Oregon, OH passed away January 7, 2022 at Baypark Hospital. Ruby was born in Toledo to the late James Thornton Sr. and Lorraine Thornton. Left to cherish her memory is her son: Dayco (Angel) Thornton; daughter: Nicole (Nick) Thornton; grandchildren: Olivia, D'angelo, Viviann, Jayari, Me’ana, Kylo, Lylo; special friend since the age of 16: Daniel; sisters: Loretta, Joann, Brenda, Yolanda; brother: James Thornton Jr.
Ruby had a passion to help others. She loved to give back to her community including volunteering at Baypark Hospital, local church events and election polls. She attended church every week and she worked as a crossing guard for 6 years. Ruby raised her children in Oregon where she has lived for almost 40 years. Her fight is now over and she graduated from this life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to many and will be forever missed.
