Ronald Bassett

Ronald Bassett, 57, of Toledo, OH passed away Monday, November 23, 2020.

Ron was born on February 11, 1963 to Dr. David Bassett DDS and his wife Basima,

Ron is preceded in death by his father David Bassett DDS and his brother David Michael Bassett.

He is survived by his mother Basima Bassett, three older sisters- Caroline (Cliff Lathrop), Dr. Joyce Bassett DDS and Jacqueline (Glenn Cummings), son Evan Zeller (Sandra) and granddaughter Jocelyn, niece Devon (David Turnbull), and nephew David Lathrop.

Ron was an innate athlete and excelled at any sport he played. He honed his skills in volleyball during high school and college to become an Olympic hopeful in 1984-85.

Ron attended The Ohio State University and graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a business degree.

He operated several businesses in the Toledo area, and also cared for his mother for many years. He had a warm and jovial personality, he was creative, entertaining and had a wonderful sense of humor.

His warm heart and loving smile will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. Ron was beloved by his family and friends and will be incredibly missed.

A memorial service for Ron will be announced at a later date.
