Richard Hathaway Obituary

Richard Scott Hathaway, 33, of Weston Ohio passed away November 8, 2021.  Richard was born in Bowling Green, OH to Scott Hathaway and the late Betty Hill.  Besides his mother, Richard is also preceded in death by his grandparents: Harold and Nanci Hathaway, Jim Hill, Joanne Shirley and Danny Carpenter Sr.

Left to cherish his memory is his father: Scott Hathaway of Desher, OH; step father: Danny Carpenter of Bowling Green, OH; daughter: Raynelynn Hathaway of Deshler, OH; sons: James Gibson "Jim Bob" of Weston, OH, Roman Hathaway of Napoleon, OH; sisters: Kristin Stattel of New Jersey, Jessica (Steven) Garner of Rudolph, OH; Annastasia (Bobby) Tolles; brothers: Russell (Minh) Hathaway of Virginia, AJ Hathaway of Desher, OH, Maxwell Carpenter; grandmother: Rose (Bobby) O'Neal of Delta, OH.

Richard always went by the nickname Hobart that was given to him at a young age.  He had a very contagious laugh and smile.  He always lit up the room and was the life of the party! Hobart loved all of his children very much and loved taking them on walks down by the river and to the parks.  He loved taking Raynebug  kayaking.  Hobart was a huge fan of music, he loved singing and playing the guitar.  He enjoyed cars, atvs and writing music.  He tinkered with motors and loved to jerry rig anything and everything he could.  He loved helping his brother in law, Steve bash up derby cars.  He had an amazing sense of humor! Richard worked as a laborer for MCM Precision Casting.  He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother and a friend to many who will be forever missed.
