Richard William Harteis was called home on November 18, 2024. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Ronni, His Children, Damien, Eric, Tabitha, Kara Solomon and Lili Bea (Cody VanKarsen) as well as his grandchildren; Deacon, RayLeeMae, Jacklyn, Coraline, Avion Truss and Natalie VanKarsen. Richard is also remembered by his large family; Parents Arlene (Henry) Rios, Brother Benjamin, Sister Leslie, Sister Mary (Adam) Montoya, Sister Conception (Abe) Atallah, Sister Hope Rios, Brother Henry Rios, Brother Troy Rios, Brother Tony Rios, Sister Corina Rios and Sister Renata (Brian) Kreamer. Rick’s family and friends were the light of his days. He would always enjoy a visit or a text and loved it even more when his grandchildren came to stay the weekend, submitting himself to makeovers and watching the same movies repeatedly. There is no end to the things he would do for them. They made his life complete. Waiting in Heaven for Rick were his Daughter Elizabeth Horton, Granddaughter Patricia Lynn “Patti Lynn” Harteis, Parents Lester and Carole Harteis and Sister Melissa Rios. The family would like to thank Elara Caring Hospice, especially JoAnn and Mykinley “Mini Mac”, Rick’s favorite aide, for going above and beyond in their care of Rick.
