Obituary

Rebecca Lynn Clark (Becky) formerly of Toledo, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on May 3, 2023, surrounded by her close family and under hospice care.  She is survived by her 4 children: James Clark Jr., Rachel Mallery, Melanie Clark and Holly Clark (Elmer) as well as 16 grandkids, 16 great grandchildren and her siblings: Wayne, Sam, Doug, Marlene, Dawn, Angie and Sandra.  Becky was the most selfless, forgiving, loving, and hardworking person you could know.  She took pride in saying she worked at St. Vincents Hospital, and Rudy's Hot Dog where she made lifelong friends, as well as Burger King and McDonalds, but her most proud job of all was being a mother, devoted wife, and homemaker.

Becky enjoyed genealogy, tracing her family roots, and was gifted in many aspects.  She had a green thumb, and you could always count on fresh food from her garden.  Her lifetime passion was plastic canvas needlepoint, making crafts to give away to her family, stitched with love in every thread.  She took great pride in her projects.  Before her passing, she made around 22 angel gardens by hand.  She may have been a mom to four, but she was everyone's "Aunt Beck".

Becky loved her cooking and baking.  Her cinnamon rolls, Christmas cookies, and beef jerky were unmatched.  It was tradition to gather all of the kids in the family and neighborhood to frost and decorate cookies that took nearly 2 weeks making.  There's not a year that went by, that her table was empty.  Becky was a loyal friend and greatly respected in the community.

She was known for her open-door policy.  She enjoyed time with her friends, and even a good game of pool.  She lived a life full of God, raised her children in church, prayed over every meal, and gave him thanks for all of her blessings.  Becky was someone you could come to, count on, and get advice from.  Everything she did and said, was genuine and from the heart.  She will be greatly missed.  If there is something she taught us all, it is to love, and forgive.

Becky is preceded in death by her mother: June/Jennie, father: Samuel, brothers: Gordon and Mark, sister: Charlene, grandsons: Dustin, Joey and Gary, and the love of her life: Timothy Parton, as well as others.  Friends and family will gather to share a meal and celebrate her life on Sunday, May 21st, 2023, at American Legion Post #192, 620 West Temperance Road, Temperance, MI 48182 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M.
