Phyllis Stanton

Phyllis, Stanton, 77, of Oregon, OH passed away December 29, 2021 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home.  Phyllis was born in Toledo to the late Myron and Esther Meyers.  Besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband: Lester Stanton; father-in-law: Lester Stanton; brother: Ron Meyers; sister: Marilyn McLaughlin; great granddaughter: Lyndsey Creps; son-in-law: Tim Churchill; daughter-in-law: Kim Meyers.

Left to cherish her memory is son: Allan Meyers; daughters: Kim Churchill, Shelley Hudson, Lori (Dan) Guerra, Tammy Stanton (Nick Anaya); mother-in-law: Rene Stanton; 16 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; sister: Joyce Baranowski; brother: Bob (Carol) Meyers; host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Phyllis loved playing bingo, bunco, bowling.  She collected cat figurines and angels.  Phyllis was a former member of Grace Community Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend too many and will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held at Habegger Funeral Services, 2001 Consaul Street, Toledo, OH 43605 on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 11:00 A.M.  The funeral ceremony will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1880 Genesee Street, Toledo, OH 43605.  Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. 

The family would like to especially thank the staff and her friends at Orchard Villa for their compassionate care that they provided.  Special thank you to her granddaughter Amanda LeMay for always taking extra special care of our "Philly".  She was her caretaker, her decorator, her beautician, her constant nurse/caregiver, not to mention her best friend.  She will be deeply missed by all.
