Paul Elsworth Nicholson III, (Nick, Nicky), passed away suddenly in his home on October 25, 2022. At the young age of 61. He was born January 7, 1961, to Paul and Vivian (Dolly) Nicholson. Nick is a beloved Son, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, Cousin, Partner, Friend, and Mason.
He attended Bowsher with the class of 1979. Playing and coaching football were a big part Nick’s life. He coached at Jackman Elementary for many years and went on to coach the semi-pro Football team the Toledo Tornadoes. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Nick started out his career at Toledo Blank. He was a US POSTAL service driver and he also worked for Kulhman Concrete as a cement truck driver. He was a man of many talents. Nick loved music, mostly Rock and Roll. He taught himself to play guitar. He learned to play his favorite songs so he could turn his stereo up and jam along. He fit the part well with his long rocker hair, fist full of turquoise rings, sharp looking outfits and boots. He always looked good and used the Nicholson charm well. Nick had a great sense of humor; he was extremely ornery, and you could always tell by the look on his face when he was up to something. You could always count on him for a smile, he had the ability to lighten up situations. He always made time for friends or family in need. He was great with honest advice on life and all things pertaining. He spoke with morals and doing the right thing. Nick was also a religious man. He had strong beliefs and lived by them. His father was a Mason, and Nick wanted to follow in those footsteps. He studied hard and achieved that goal. He went on to become a Master Mason. Nick was currently serving as Worshipful Master of Genoa Lodge 433 F&AM and was a member of Zenobia Shrine. This is something he was very proud of, as it represents a strong set of beliefs and morals that he himself and stood by. Nick loved being a father and a papa. It was what he was most proud of. His children and grandchildren meant the world to him, and he loved every moment with them, playing guitar with them, showing them all his rings, teasing them, laughing with them and loving them. If he wasn't with them, then he was speaking great things about them.
