Pamela Counterman Obituary

Pamela J. Counterman (Sevrence), 72, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 26, 2025, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 8, 1952, in Toledo, Pam was the third of four children born to Cecil and Donna Sevrence. She graduated from Bowsher High School in 1970, where she proudly served as a cheerleader and was crowned homecoming queen, a reflection of her joyful spirit and natural charisma.

Pam is survived by her husband, Terry Countermen, with whom she shared over forty years of marriage. The couple was united in marriage on December 27, 1982. Pam’s legacy lives through her children; Deena White, Chad (Barb) White, Amanda (Bill) Ogle, and Crystal (Andy) Counterman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Donna Sevrence; her sister, Sheri Sainz (Sevrence); and her brother, Tom Sevrence. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, her children and their spouses, her 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as her brother, Jack (Judy) Sevrence.

On April 24, 2025, Pam made the deeply personal decision to accept Jesus Christ into her life. This spiritual awakening brought her peace and allowed for meaningful conversations with those she loved in her final days.

Pam was vibrant, funny, and full of life. Known affectionately as a fashionista, she never went without a ring on every finger and was rarely seen without her Big Cup. Her favorite snacks—peanut M&M's and a cold Diet Pepsi or Canadian Dry depending on the time of day. She had a soft spot for white Russians and was truly the life of any party she attended.

Pam's humor, style, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held at Intersection Church located at 1640 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH on Tuesday June 3, 2025, from 3pm to 6pm. After the celebration of life, we will be going out to eat at Lucky’s located at 3310 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH.
