With great sadness we share the passing of Lola Franco, at the age of 83. She passed away peacefully at St. Vincent’s Hospital on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones. Lola was born on March 15, 1940 to the late Frank and Guadelupe (Hernandez) Arzate in Toledo, Ohio. She is the loving wife of 63 years to Miguel (Mike) Franco Sr. and the dear sister to Teresa, Rosie, and the late Frank Arzate Jr. Lola lived a full life as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She loved to cook, bake, play bingo, go to the casino, and crocheting. Most of all she loved spending time with her family! She will be forever remembered for her welcoming soul, huge loving heart, giving spirit, humorous personality, her homemade tortillas and enchiladas.
Lola was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost, cherished all her children and grandchildren (great & great-great). She married her life long love and best friend on November 22, 1960. She always took care of everyone around her and would feed anyone who walked through her door. Lola is preceded in Death by her parents (Frank & Guadelupe), her brother Frank Jr, and her children Richard, Carmen, Frank, & Miguel Jr. Lola is survived by her husband Mike Franco Sr. Her children: Annette Franco, Debora (Jerry) Franco, Alexander (Jacqueline) Franco Sr, Larry (Lisa) Franco Sr, Robert Franco, & Esmeralda Ybarra. Her grandchildren: Renee’, LilyAnn (Eddie), Jane, Dalena (Farooq), Mary (Jay), Delecia, Randolph Jr (Lida), Debora, Destiny (Tony), Alexandra (Geanine), Alexander Jr, Larry Jr, Celestina, & Braxton. Her 53 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of Lola’s life will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 2:00pm-4:00pm for family and 4:00pm-6:00pm for Extended Family (adopted friends) Friends of the FAMILY wanting to pay their respects. Location: American Legion Hall - 206 S. Byrne Rd. Toledo Oh. 43615
