It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of MaryJane Anderson, who departed this life on Monday, August 11, 2025, at the age of 87. MaryJane was a cherished presence in the lives of her children and family, known for her kindness, infectious laughter, and unwavering love and dedication to her family.
MaryJane Anderson was born on December 1, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio, to Eileen L. Harrison and Leamon (Lee) Harrison. Both of her parents have since passed away, as has her beloved husband, Jerry G. Anderson, and her brother, Robert C. Harrison. She is survived by her two sisters, Patricia (William) Kistner and Louann B. (Tom) Meagher. MaryJane was a dedicated mother to her children, Cheryl Anderson, Steven Anderson, and Paul (Judith) Anderson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Jacob Anderson, Jeremiah Anderson, and John Paul Anderson.
Throughout her life, MaryJane Anderson demonstrated a deep passion for both her faith and her love of singing. She dedicated significant time and effort to her involvement with the Episcopal Church, actively participating in church activities and supporting her community. Additionally, she was an enthusiastic member of her church choir, The Canterbury Singers and the Sweet Adelines, showcasing her musical talents and commitment to the arts. Known for her generosity and unwavering work ethic, MaryJane often went above and beyond to assist others in need, embodying a spirit of compassion and service. Her dedication to her passions and her community left a lasting impact on those around her, reflecting her admirable character and lifelong commitment to making a difference.
A funeral service honoring MaryJane Anderson will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church, located at 871 E Boundary Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. Following the service, a repast will be hosted at 1:00 p.m. at Caper’s Restaurant, situated at 2038 S Byrne Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, pay their respects, and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in her memory, reflecting her compassionate spirit and dedication to community service.
