Marna Mayer

Marna Mayer age 76 went home to be with God in the early morning hours of April 2, 2025, as the result of long, hard- fought battle with several health issues. Born 03/04/1949 to Joe and Eva (Pauline) Walender, Marna graduated from Perrysburg High School where she dabbled in cosmetology.  Before her illnesses, Marna loved the outdoors especially gardening, fishing, and camping.  In addition, she also enjoyed taking frequent trips to Amish country to visit the simpler things in life and an occasional trip to the Casino. Although Marna had no children of her own, she shared her life with the deepest of love and loyalty to her closest friends.  Anyone who knew Marna would agree that she was a strong-willed individual that would go to the ends of the Earth for those she loved and expected little in return. Marna is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Eva (Pauline) Walender, brother Beni, brother Gary and husband James Mayer. She is survived by her brother Donald (Sally) Walender, and devoted friends Brian Keaton and Connie (Larry) Steigerwald. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
