Margaret Heckert

Margaret Louise "Maggie" Heckert, 77, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Pemberville, Ohio.  

Maggie was born on March 11, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio. She pursued her education at the University of Toledo, earning an associate degree. Throughout her life, she found joy in the simple pleasures of puzzles, crosswords, and bingo, often sharing these pastimes with friends. Her love for her family was evident in all she did, and she cherished the time spent with them.  

She is survived by her children Janet (Bill Eye), Diane (Mike Savanio), and Steve; as well as her beloved grandchildren Andrew and Nicholas Eye and Daniel Savanio. Maggie also leaves behind her siblings Ray Brandeberry, Cathy Tinnerman (Dave), Carol Jewell, Caroline Heckert Jackson, Becky Heckert Black, and Charles Heckert; along with many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her warmth and kindness.  

She was preceded in death by her father John Brandeberry, mother Aubery Brandeberry-Heckert, stepfather Eustace Heckert, and brother John Brandeberry.  

Maggie had a deep faith and loved attending church when she was able. Her relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ brought her comfort throughout her life. In her final moments, she was surrounded by love, with her daughter by her side.  

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her.
