Leah Christine Carman, 39, of Willard, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2023. She was born in Bucyrus, Ohio on March 24, 1984 to Bridgette (Kelley) Cole and the late Daniel (Sonja) Carman.
Leah is survived by her mother, Bridgette, stepfather, Kelley, stepmother, Sonja, five siblings; Naomi, Seth (Jennifer), Jerusha, Sarai, and Daniela, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and 18 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her older brother Mark and niece, MacKenzie, and her youngest brother Adam.
Leah graduated in 2003 from Buckeye Central High School and attended the International Air and Hospitality Academy in Vancouver, Washington, graduating in 2007.
You could describe Leah as a fun, free-spirited hippie type. She loved food, primping, and tattoos. Leah also liked changing her hairstyle and color; you never knew what crazy ‘do she would be sporting next. She worked as a bartender at the VFW in Willard and enjoyed taking care of her patrons. However, what Leah loved most of all was spending time with her nieces and nephews. They all loved their Aunt Leah, and that was a role she truly cherished.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 from 2-6 p.m. at the Loyal Order of Moose, 220 Walton St., Willard, OH 44890. The family invites Leah‘s friends and family to attend a casual service, where you can feel free to share a fond story or memory, followed by food and fellowship.
