Jesus Benavidez, Jr

Jesus (Jesse, Big Jes, Teddy Bear, Jr) Benavidez, Jr, age 58, A proud loving father, brother, uncle, cousin, son and grandfather. Surrounded by his family and close friends was called to his forever home, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 10:10 A.M.

Jesus was born in Salinas, California to one Jesus Benavidez and Elma Mungia on September 30, 1966. But he and his family have resided on the east side of Toledo, OH since the early 70's. Jesus Benavidez Jr. was a proud graduate of Waite High School graduating class of 1985. He was a fun and loving, one of a kind individual who loved to spend time with family and friends creating memories.

Jesus was a lifelong truck driver but had many hobbies he cherished. Jesus loved fishing, barbequing, wood working, traveling, listening to music. Arts and crafts were something he also cherished, but he especially loved good food and having a laugh whenever he could.

Jesus Benavidez Jr. was preceded in death by his father: Jesus G. Benavidez.  Directly survived by his are his mother: Elma Benavidez, his three siblings: Angie, Sandra and Tony. He is also survived by his three children: Josuwa Rink, Jesus Benavidez III, and Anna Benavidez. He is also remembered by a handful of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many lifelong friends and neighbors who he held close to the heart.

A benefit of life is going to be held for family, friends, and anyone who knew the big man on February 2, 2025.  The memorial will be held at 2910 Consaul St., Toledo, OH 43605 between the hours of 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
