Janet Nickell, of Bellevue Ohio, began her life October 3rd, 1946, and at age 79 passed peacefully at home, on December 31st, 2025.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Alice Edwards of Bellevue Ohio, and sister Diane Hussey, of Bellevue, Ohio. Left to cherish her memories are her children; Son: Brian Nickell, of Bellevue Ohio, Daughter: Kelley Brooks (Jimmy Brooks), and her grandchildren: Chase (Anna) Brooks, and Logan Brooks and Preston Brooks, all of Texas. She is also survived by her brother Roger Edwards (Robin) of Clyde, Ohio.
Janet Nickell was a wonderful, and spirited woman. She is remembered as a loving, talkative and giving person. Her love of horses and people brought her into the 4-H world of Sandusky & Huron Counties. Where she dedicated many years as a 4-H advisor with Kelley & Brian. She was also a Campfire Leader where she showed countless generations how to be someone you could depend on. She had a knack for remembering what you loved and/or collected & would shower you with unique gifts so that you felt her love in every item. She loved laughing at The Golden Girls, testing her knowledge at Jeopardy, the Hallmark channel reminded her how to keep her heart full for the ones she surrounded herself with. She was a voracious reader and could sometimes read a whole book in one day.
One poem the family wishes to share, will be remembered always, and they hope you will enjoy it as much as they do.
“Life goes by,
and in this busy world
sometimes it’s easy to forget
to tell those we love
how much they mean to us.
I may not always say the words,
but I want you to know that
I love you and appreciate all that you’ve done
~ And all that you continue to do”
