Hildegard I. Wilson

Hildegard I. Wilson. age 84, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday September 14, 2022.  She was born November 27, 1937, to the late Josef and Bertha Karwacki in Helmstedt, Germany.  Besides her parents, Hildegard was also preceded in death by her husband: Adrian "Sunny" Wilson.

Hildegard is survived by her daughters: Monika Blaylock, Louise (Mot) Geraghty, and Denise (Brian) Glover.  She is also survived by grandchildren: Nicholas (Rachelle) Startzman, Jason (Holly) Reynolds, Jessica (Bryan) Jones, Areill Gromnicki, Paco, Denise (Brian) Glover, Benjamin Glover, Jacob Glover, Joshua Glover, Pony; and 13 great grandchildren.

Hildegard (Omi) was an amazing woman who filled the space around her with love, dedication, and kindness. 

What she treasured most in life was her family, church, and of course her plants and gardens.  She opened her heart and home to many; you were never hungry around Hilde because she always wanted to cook for you.  And boy could she cook!  Hilde also enjoyed spending time in the summer at her second home at Barton Lake.

Her spirit and energy were unmatched and will be missed by all!

Visitation will be held on September 20, 2022, from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Walter Funeral home located at 4653 Glendale Road, Toledo, Ohio 43614.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday September 21, 2022, at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church located at 434 Eastern Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43609.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Hildegard's honor may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
