Gladys Wells

Gladys Wells, 81, of Toledo, OH passed away September 26, 2022 at Promedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Sylvania, OH.  Gladys was born on January 28, 1941 in Parsons, West Virginia to the late Benson and Margie Long.  Besides her parents, Gladys is also preceded in death by her husband: James Wells; sons: Benson Wells, Gene Wells; daughter: Amy Wells; brothers: Beldon Long, John Long, Robert Long, David Long Sr., Gerald Long, Richard Long; sisters: Leila Bapp, Dorothy Wiginton; special niece: Debi Long.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter: Jamie (Charles) Shea of Toledo, OH; sister: Charlotte (Chet) Arnold of Valdosta, GA, brother: Garey Long of Adrian, MI; grandchildren: Becky (Zak) Balser, Matt Shea; great grandchildren: Haidan Shea, Ja'Nece Petty, Raelynn Shea, Mattalynn Shea, Winston Balser.

Gladys graduated from Lyons High School.  She enjoyed crocheting, baking, puzzles, helping others and her cats.  She was a faithful member of Fairfield Baptist Church where she served as the missionary and aid society president.  Gladys' true love was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a friend who will be forever missed. 

A memorial service will be held at Fairfield Baptist Church, 1296 Seneca Street, Adrian, MI 49221 on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 12:00 P.M.
