Douglas John Clinton, age 77, passed away suddenly at his residence on October 28, 2024. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to Jack and Eleanor (Tussing) Clinton on August 16, 1947. He was a US Army Veteran, and proudly served during Vietnam. He earned his associate's degree in business management. Douglas was a member of Local 75 and worked for the Kroger Company as a meat cutter for 46 years retiring in 2012.
Douglas was an active member of the Fraternal Order Eagles #2322, in Rossford, Ohio. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards with friends, telling jokes, spending time with family, and loved to travel.
Douglas is survived by his loving wife: Deborah J (Hartford) Clinton; son: Jeffery Mark (Claudia) Clinton; daughters: Laurie D. Newton, Dawn M. Newton and Jacqueline L. Newton; mother: Eleanor Clinton; sisters: Sue (Greg) Cherry and Joyce Jackson; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members.
Douglas was preceded in death by his father: Jack; brothers: Garry, Danny and Jack Clinton; son: Robert H. Newton.
Douglas loved his family unconditionally. He will be fondly remembered by those whose lives he touched. We will always cherish our memories.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
