Dorothy Jane Arter

Dorothy J. Arter, 99, passed away July 18, 2023.  She was born to Fred and Helen Ganshow on July 27, 1923 and married William J. Arter.  She graduated from Waite High School and held jobs at Sun Oil Company, Interlake Iron and retired from Toledo Public Schools.  Dorothy loved going to the casino.  

Surviving is her daughter: Lee Hill-Moebius; grandchildren: Howard (Shannon) Hill, Valerie (Ryan) Brickner, Jennifer (Joe) Rigali, Brent (Michelle) Moebius; great grandchildren: Tim, Peytin, Taylor, Leah, Jackson, Jacob, Ryan, Riley, Kylee, Marisa, Robert and her grand dog: Charlie.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband: William J. Arter; sons-in-law: Howard E. Hill, Russell E. Moebius.

The family would like to especially thank the staff from Landings of Oregon for their care and Residential Hospice for all of their help.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Habegger Funeral Services, 2001 Consaul Street, Toledo, OH 43605 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023 also at Habegger Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park following.
