Debra Sanchez Obituary

Debra “Debbie” Sanchez, age 44, of Toledo, Ohio, completed her earthly mission and went home to the Lord on Friday, March 27th, 2026 Born in Toledo, Ohio, Debbie was the beloved daughter of the late David Sanchez Sr. and Margaret Lane (Bob), as well as a cherished stepdaughter. She was a devoted sister to David Sanchez Jr. (Lori), a deeply loved stepsister, and a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and nephews. She also held a special place in her heart for her three beloved God-daughters, whom she loved as her own–Dominique Bryan, Angelique Bryan, and Ciara Bryan.

Debbie lived a life marked by joy, service, and unwavering faith. To know her was to love her. She was generous with her time, talents, and treasure, always showing up for others with a full and open heart. Whether through a listening ear, laughter shared, or a word of encouragement, Debbie had a gift for making people feel seen, loved, and cared for.

For much of her life, Debbie served as a caregiver, extending compassion and dignity to those entrusted to her care. She also worked alongside numerous nonprofit organizations supporting women facing domestic violence, offering both practical help and heartfelt encouragement.

Her true calling was ministry. Debbie was an active member of Living Stones Ministries in Exmore, Virginia from 2007 to 2019, where she was ordained and licensed as a minister in September 2011. She carried a powerful anointing and faithfully preached the Word of God, led a young women’s mentoring ministry, and served on the Ministerial Leadership Team. Debbie oversaw both the Dream Team and Creative Arts Team and traveled across the country ministering with Living Stones. Her spoken word ministry touched many lives and was deeply sought after.

Debbie loved the Lord deeply, and this love was evident in everything she did. She found joy in music, singing, dancing, and using her gifts to glorify God. She lived a legacy of family, faithfulness, humor and good cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David Sanchez and Margaret Lane; her stepfather, Bob Lane; and her cherished “angel baby,” Genesis, who she always carried in her heart. Debbie’s life gave witness to the power of God through all things. While she will be deeply missed by all who loved her, they find comfort in knowing she’ll be rejoicing with the Lord and welcomed with open arms by her family in heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 5:00-10:00pm at Bayside Event Center, 2759 Seaman Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616. All are welcome to come share in remembering and celebrating Debbie’s life.
