Claude Bourne

Claude T. Bourne passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, in Holland, Ohio. He was born in Harrison County, Missouri and eventually settled in the Springfield-Holland area.

Claude leaves behind his friends and surrogate families, especially the Hartmans, the VanAlstines and the Caulkins his church community that embraced him, and his coworkers who appreciated his work ethic.

If Claude wasn’t riding his bike to Rudy’s Hot Dog for work, he was volunteering his time at the Living Faith United Methodist Church, or he could be found delivering food to local and regional food banks with his friends and members of the church’s Men’s Group. He was a giving man; he also supported Heroes in Action by delivering furniture and household goods to numerous military families and veterans.

A memorial celebrating Claude will be held, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Living Faith United Methodist Church, 1240 Columbus Dr, Holland, Ohio. Interment will be private. Contributions can be made to the Living Faith United Methodist Church or www.stjude.org, an organization that was dear to Claude.
