Christie Ann “Cricket” Powell, age 46, passed away peacefully at her home on January 10, 2025, due to natural causes. Her untimely departure has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Born on September 27, 1978, in Toledo, Ohio, Cricket spent most of her life in the Toledo area, surrounded by family and friends who adored her. She was a shining light in the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Cricket’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted and loving mother to her son, Zachary Powell, who was her world. Her love for Zach was immeasurable, and she took pride in every moment spent with him, creating a bond that will never be broken.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Mary McAulay, and her grandfather, Bradley Kizer. She is survived by her son, Zachary Powell; her parents, Carolyn McAulay and Douglas Kizer; her grandmother, Beverly Kizer; her sister, Shannon Burks; and her brother, Doug Kizer. She also leaves behind her cherished aunts, Barb Cannon and LuLu Latta, along with many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
