Charles Henry Lance

Charles Henry "Chuck" Lance 74 of Toledo passed away surrounded by family at Hospice of NW Ohio on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. He was born in Fremont, Ohio, to Henry and Viola (Shuman) Lance on October 4th, 1950. Chuck was an avid collector of everything and would bring home boxes of things he called his "Treasures." In his younger years, he loved motorcycles, camping with his family, teaching the kids how to snipe hunt. His favorite pastime was having a few beers with his brothers and friends.

 Chuck was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Connie Sue and his parents Henry (Norma) Lance and Viola (Ed) Abel. Left to cherish his memory are his 9 children, Billie Jo (Wess) Clanton of Ethridge TN, Charles (Christine) Rainey of Toledo, Jackie Lance (Rick) of Ethridge TN, Charles Lance of Ethridge TN, Cindy (Dan) Bancroft of Holland, Caryn (Dan) Lynch of Holland, Steven Lance of Lawrenceburg TN, Christi Dzenis (Greg) of Toledo and Danielle (Sammy) Rollins of Toledo. 31 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great grandchildren. Siblings, Kathy (Dale) Fuller, Terry, Steve, Stewart, and Thomas Lance.

 The family is planning a celebration of life to be held in the coming months. They would like to thank the staff and nurses at Hospice of NW Ohio for their exceptional and loving care they provided to Chuck and to his family during this most difficult time.
