It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathryn Mary Sahloff, who left us on 06/20/2025 at the age of 78. A woman of extraordinary generosity, fierce loyalty, and undeniable flair, she was the heart of our family and the soul of every Sunday football game.
Mom’s love of football ran deep—she could call plays better than most commentators and never missed a game. Her passionate cheers, colorful commentary, and team spirit brought everyone together. Game days were sacred in our home, filled with snacks, laughter, and her vibrant running commentary that made every touchdown feel like a family victory.
But beyond the touchdowns and team colors, Mom lived her life rooted in giving. Whether it was a hot meal, a warm hug, or a listening ear at just the right time, she gave without expecting anything in return. Her kindness was endless, and her door—and heart—were always open.
And then there was QVC. Her favorite pastime and personal treasure trove, QVC wasn’t just shopping—it was her therapy, her entertainment, and her joy. She had a knack for finding the perfect item for everyone, wrapping it with love and the words, “I saw this and thought of you.” Her excitement when that package arrived was unmatched—like a kid on Christmas morning.
She is survived by her sister Patrica Grundy, daughter Mary Sahloff, grandson James Super, niece Janet Baer, great niece Crystal Skelly, Great great nieces and nephews Michael Skelly and Paisley Skelly, and countless others whose lives were touched by her warmth, wit, and unwavering love.
Though she’s no longer with us, her spirit lives on in every cozy blanket she gifted, every Sunday football party she inspired, and every late-night QVC deal that makes us smile and say, “Mom would’ve loved that.”
We will miss her deeply, love her always, and carry her legacy of generosity, joy, and team spirit forward—one touchdown and one QVC deal at a time.
