Bruce Lind, 62, of Walbridge, passed away at St. Charles Hospital on August 27th 2025.
Bruce was born in Toledo, Ohio, in 1963 to James and Joyce Lind. He attended Lake Schools and went on to build a successful career as a CNC operator in the tool and die industry, where he earned and proudly held three journeyman cards.
Bruce met the love of his life, Debbie, at the age of 15. As High school sweethearts, they shared a beautiful journey together for 47 years, including 34 years of marriage. Bruce held a deep, unwavering love for his only daughter, Lauren. She was his greatest joy, and the true center of his world.
Bruce was a proud and dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge in Genoa #433, valuing the brotherhood, traditions, and principles it stood for, an organization he loved and held close to his heart. He also continued his Masonic journey through the Scottish Rite, where he found great purpose in its teachings and fellowship.
Everyone who knew Bruce knew his greatest joys were casting a line on a quiet day and relaxing on his golf cart, waving at everyone who drove past. He’s known for his remarkable knack for fixing anything, Bruce was always ready with a tool in hand and a heart willing to help.
Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved parents, James and Joyce (Lytle) Lind, and his Uncle, Tom. He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie (Mourray); his only cherished daughter, Lauren (Tim Henneman); and his grandsons, T.J. and Cameron. He leaves behind his brothers, Bryan (Amy) and Bradley (Tammy) Lind, as well as his dear nephew and niece, Bryce and Audrey Lind. Bruce is also survived by his lifelong friends Todd, Gus, Randy, Dale, and Eddie whose friendship, support, and memories brought joy and meaning to his life.
A Celebration of Life for Bruce will be held on Thursday, September 11th, 2025, at the Walbridge Administrative Building (705 N Main St) from 5-8 in the evening. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to a college fund established in honor of Bruce’s cherished grandsons, TJ and Cameron, a meaningful way to continue his legacy of love, support, and dedication to their future.
