Bret L Parish

Bret L Parish Sr., 61, passed away on March 10, 2025, in Toledo, Ohio after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on December 25, 1963, in Toledo to Bob and Clara Parish.

Bret was a devoted family man who found joy in working on cars and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his best bud, his chihuahua, Chico. He had a knack for fixing things and an infectious sense of humor that brought laughter to those around him. Whether under the hood of a car or sharing a joke, Bret’s presence was one of warmth and lightheartedness.  

Bret is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Perry; his children, Peggy Ann (Rick) Gingrich, Bret (Casey) Parish Jr., Kurtis Parish, Hannah (Miguel) Reyes-Parish, Stacey Parish, and Kenneth Parish; and his cherished grandchildren, Sylvia, Angel, Harley, Rick Jr., Sophia, Airlia, Payton, Logan, Lisset, Guillermo, and Camila, along with a few great grand babies. He is also survived by his siblings, Bob (Dianna) Parish Jr., Viola (Mike) Carter, Trina Carter, Bart (Hope) Parish, Burt (Cynthia) Parish, and lifelong best friend Scott (Theresa) Cousino. 

Bret was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Brenda Parish, brothers Allen Parish and CJ Parish, and best friend Larry Terman. 

Bret’s legacy lives on through the love he shared with family and friends. His memory will be treasured by all who knew him.

Bret’s family will be holding a memorial on March 29 at The Hungarian Club of Toledo, 224 Paine Ave, from 5-8pm. If you have ever been impacted by Bret’s kindness or sense of humor, please join his family in celebrating his life.
