Anne Marie Roder

Anne Marie Roder, born March 24, 1977, passed away in the early morning hours of May 13, 2023, at the tender age of 46, leaving her earthly body behind to transition into a peaceful, calm world that is free of pain, anxiety, and suffering. Although she will be terribly missed, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace.

Anne graduated from Springfield High School in 1995 and briefly attended college at Bowling Green State University eventually achieving a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management/Accounting from Tiffin University. Her working career began as a teller for Mid Am Bank, which was a job she loved, working many years there before switching to PNC Bank. The last two years were spent working for BlackHawk Industrial (formerly Pinnacle Tool & Supply) in accounting.

Anne had a heart of gold and an intense love for her family, especially her daughter and grandson. She loved traveling, Frankenmuth and Gatlinburg being two of her favorites, and provided services as a foster for many animals from the Toledo Area Humane Society.

Anne is survived by her mother and dedicated caregiver Linda Palicki, daughter Shelby Moon (Austin Tolles), grandson Trenton Bicanovsky and grandson (arriving soon) Blake Leland Tolles, siblings Tammy (Gary) Switlick, Tim (Jenni) Roder, step-siblings Rob (Carrie) Colwell, Jennifer Barbour, and nephew and niece Ty and Tatum Roder. And her beloved pets Luna and Princess. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins who have been very supportive as she has battled this terrible disease of ovarian cancer.

Anne was preceded in death by her father Tom Roder, stepmom Nancy Roder, grandparents Earl/Rachel Roder, and John/Dolores Palicki.

Many thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff that were so kind and compassionate while caring for Anne, with special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Ebeid Hospice.

Showing will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, from 5-9 pm at Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Hwy., Holland, Ohio. An additional showing will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 10-11 am, at Providence, with service to follow at 11 am.
