Nelda C. Kepling was taken home to be with her heavenly father on Monday, June 1, 2020. She was born Nelda Stevens to the late Vena and Harry Stevens on her family Holgate farm. The 3rd child of 6 in her family.
She was preceded in death by her brother and his wife: Harry and Tyrona Stevens; sisters: Una Mae Webster and Marilyn Ahleman; brother in laws: Jim Jones and Keith Webster; Nelda's first husband: Ronald Hefflinger; granddaughter: Dana Lynn Hefflinger and step grandchild: Joshua Koczergo.
Nelda is survived by her husband: Ferris Kepling; sisters: Janet Jones, Dona Sonnenberg (Gilbert), brother in law: Don Ahleman and sister in law: Glenna Greener. Her four children: Dan Hefflinger(Deb), Tom Hefflinger (Mary Ellen), Ronda Miller (Rick), Larry Hefflinger (Denise); step children: Linda Caudill (Rick) and Dan Kepling. Neldas grandchildren are Chad Hefflinger (Julie) Nick Miller (Heidi), Scott Heffinger (Kate), Brittany Labie (Brent), Jesse Miller (Erica), Andrea Francis (Derek), Corissa Hefflinger, Rachel Palmer (Tom); step grandchildren: Jessica Simon (Brad), Justin Kepling (Brittany), Andrea Woodall and Rick Caudill Jr. (Courtney); Nelda has 16 great grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren.
All memorials may be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Your generous tax deductible donation to Wounded Warrior Project will change the lives of over 1 million wounded warriors, care givers, and family members. It will bring independence back to the nations most severely wounded veterans. This project is in memory of our family members who served, Ferris Kepling, Dan Hefflinger, Tom Hefflinger, and Ronald Hefflinger who received a Purple Heart for his wounded in action status in WWII.
Services will be immediate family only at the Liberty Center United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will be held in the near future.
