Obituary for Maxine Darrington

Ms. Maxine Hines-Darrington went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 12, 2020 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

She was born to Ada Lee Hines and Earl Hines on October 23, 1953 in Toledo, Ohio where she attended Robinson Jr. High School as a young girl.

Maxine worked as a caregiver at Whiteford Nursing Home and was the loving mother of three beautiful daughters, LaTonia, Rongela and Carrie.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and loved to attend the Upper Room Tabernacle in Toledo, OH until she became ill.

Maxine was preceded in death by her mother, Ada and father, Earl; brothers, Willie James Baker and Ivery Lee Parker; and grandson, Marcus Darrington, V.

She leaves behind her daughters LaTonia McCann, Rongela and Carrie Darrington ; granddaughters, Shatoya Smith and Shakayla McCann; Latosha Darrington, Cierra and Kierra Stuart; Me’Lyea Burton, Shamir, Shamar and Trinity Darrington; grandsons, Dajuan Smith, Dionte and Armonte Darrington, brother, Louis Ray Hines; sister-in-laws, Betty Baker and Sandra Parker as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and a community of others she loved and treated like family.
