Keith Thomas Horn

July 16, 1957 - September 06, 2020

Keith Thomas Horn of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away on September 6th, 2020 at Bay Park Hospital at the age of 63. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 16th, 1957 to Eugene and Shirley (Shakley) Horn. Keith grew up in Le Sueur, Minnesota and shortly after high school graduation, followed in his father’s footsteps and enlisted in the Marine Corps. He spent the next 23 years in service to his country. Through the Marines, Gunnery Sergeant Keith T. Horn had the opportunity to serve in many parts of the world. His leadership and charisma inspired many to join the United States Marine Corps in service to their country.

Keith will be remembered for his quick wit, love of cooking (and amazing meals), photography, music, biking and his infatuation with technology. A beloved grandfather, he had a knack for making his grandchildren giggle, capturing those precious moments in a great photo.  He loved to share his interests with those around him helping others to develop their skills.

Keith is survived by his loving wife, Catherine Horn; daughter, Elizabeth Horn (his sunshine) of Jacksonville, North Carolina; stepson, Steve (Becky) Byrd; stepdaughters, Kerri DeShetler and Laura (Kyle) Bower of Logan, Ohio; grandchildren, Josh (Leighann), Jacob, Elyza, and Sophie; great-granddaughters, Scout, Baya, and Athena.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful ICU staff at Promedica Bay Park Hospital in Oregon, Ohio for their compassionate and devoted care during Keith’s illness.

Keith will be interned at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
