John Schlotz, 88, Of Grand Rapids, Ohio Passed Away On Friday August 23, 2019 At Hospice Of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg.

John Was Born February 23, 1931 In Mcclure, Ohio To The Late John George Schlotz And Esther Ruehle.

Besides His Parents, John Is Preceded In Death By His Brother: Donald Schlotz; Sisters: Hellen Schlotz; Alice Todarello; Mary Schlotz; Barbara Coss; Brother-In-Law: Robert Leiner, Frank Leiner, Jr.

John Is Survived By His Loving Wife Of 63 Years: Catherine Mae Schlotz; Brother Eugene (Norma) Schlotz; Sister-In-Law Bonnie Leiner; And Brother-In-Law Gary (Barbara) Conrad.

John Was A 63-Year Member Of Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232, Where He Served As Commander; Vfw Post 4984, Where He Also Served As Commander; Korean War Veterans #131; Voiture 40/8; And St. Paul'S Lutheran Church In Mcclure, Ohio.

John Worked As A Salesman For Toledo Hardware And As A Substitute Custodian For Otsego Schools From Both Of Which He Retired.

John Enjoyed Collecting Coin, Toy Tractors, And Toy Cars. He Also Enjoyed Watching The Detroit Tigers.

John Will Be Deeply Missed By All Who Knew And Loved Him.

Visitation Will Be Held On Tuesday August 27, 2019 From 9:00 Am To 11:00 Am At St. Paul'S Lutheran Church, 155 Depot Street, Mcclure, Ohio 43534, With Funeral Services Beginning At 11:00 Am. Interment Will Be In Hockman Cemetery.

The Family Requests The Memorial Contributions Be Made To Hospice Of Northwest Ohio; Alva N. Sidle American Legion Post #232; Or The Charity Of Your Choice.
