John Hoffman Obituary

John Michael Hoffman, 50, of Toledo, OH fought his cancer valiantly, but ultimately went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 5, 2020 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born in Oceanside, CA to Sylvia and John Michael Harris.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 31 years: Robin (Webb) Hoffman; mother: Sylvia (Loechner) Hoffman; dad: William D. (Evelyn) Hoffman; sister: Deborah (Derek) Cunningham; brother: William Dennis (Cindy) Hoffman; nieces: Chelsey Richmond, Kayla-Kay (Arron) Lewis, Sydney Cunningham; nephews: Devin Whitehead, Cameron Richmond, Collin Richmond, Sam Hoffman, Dylan Cunningham; and great nephew: Ezekiel Lewis. He is preceded in eternal rest by his father: John M. Harris; stepmother: Patti Rajala; and great nephew Izaiah Lewis.

John loved and enjoyed many things like working alongside his wife and father-in-law (George) at Carpets Beautiful. He was the Director of the Golf Channel volunteers for the Marathon Classic. He enjoyed watching golf and football cheering for the Packers and Michigan. He was a District Education Officer for the 11th Masonic District. Past Master of Rubicon Lodge #237, Chief Aide for the Zenobia Shrine, Director of Zenobia Evzones, and Master of Ceremonies for Lodge of Perfection-Valley of Toledo-AASR. He was also a member of Toledo Commandery #7, Triune Chapter Order of Eastern Star #344, honorary member of Tecumseh Lodge #69, and several other bodies of the Masonic order.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of John may be made to Bladder Cancer research through the National Cancer Institute or Shriner Hospitals for Children.

The family will receive guests on Saturday October 17, from 3pm-5pm at The Zenobia Shrine 8048 Broadstone Rd. Perrysburg, OH 43551. Memorial service will be immediately afterward at 5pm, with the Wake beginning at 5:30, Scottish Rite Memorial Service at 6:30pm, and Masonic Service at 7pm.
