Obituary for Henry Jones Jr.

Henry Jones Jr., 79 of Toledo OH passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 at University of Toledo Medical Center. Henry was born in Tupelo Mississippi to the late Henry and Lorine Jones. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sons: Barnett Jones, Ricky Jones, Leroy Jones; granddaughter: Precious Davis; sister: Vera Wilson; brother: Sonny Jones.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving partner and wife of 51 years: Annie Ree Jones; children: Debra, Lasonia, Jennifer, Anthony, Melvin; 17 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; brothers: Willie Jones, Joe Hollins; sister: Lee Dilworth; host of nieces and nephews.

Henry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the party life. He was a hard worker. He retired from Midwest Zinc after 35 years of faithful service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to so many and he will be deeply missed by all.

Visitation will be held at Greater St Mary's Baptist Church, 416 Belmont Avenue, Toledo, OH on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Lyons officiating. Interment will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.

To Auntie Rita and family . I am sending hugs and my condolence to you guys. Growing up on Leamington I can always count on a good laugh from Uncle Hank even thou most time Auntie Rita use to have tell him who I was!! That’s Kat daughter RoRo !! To my Cousin/Sister Rita and family. I love you guys and I am always here for you. I know it’s painful to loose a love one but Hank is no longer suffering . Corinthians 5:8, says to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Hank leaves us with so many memories of love and laughter so let those memories get you through those dark days . To my sister Rita and family, John 14:27 says "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you". A great man my brother in law Hank has left us but his memories will never be forgotten. I know that this loss is indescribable, and I can only share in your pain and sorrow. May Hank soul rest in peace, and may you be blessed with the grace to accept the loss, the faith to believe that everything happens for a reason, and the courage to face the coming days.
