Elisa Escobar

Elisa Escobar, 82, of Toledo, OH passed away September 25, 2021. Elisa was born in Mexico to the late Marie and Juan Gonzalez. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her children: Simon Borjas, Orelia Arechiga, Jose Hernandez; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Left to cherish Elisa’s memory is her daughters: Adriana Borjas (Jose Soleno), Dalia Slaughter (Dwight Slaughter), Gabriela Garcia; grandchildren: Little Dalia, Sylverna, Lorenzo (Teresa), Noe, Dwight, Reina, Raymondo, Maude, Ashley, Savannah, Antoine, Tina, Gizzmo, Moses, Rafa, Yvan, Maruicio Jr., Cecilia, Linda, Jose Jr., Maria, Elisa, Emilia, Douglas, Anthony; 61 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; sisters: Guadalupe Pena, Amparo Valle; brother: Roy Hernandez; sister in law: Cathleen Hernandez.

The family would like to especially thank the care givers Ashley, Mackenzie, April and her nurse, Rob for their compassionate care.

Elisa enjoyed cooking, crocheting, decorating for the holidays. She was a loving mother, grandmother sister, and a dear friend to so many who will be forever missed.

Visitation will be held at Habegger Funeral Services, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, OH 43605 on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. Mass will be held at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1880 Genesee Street, Toledo, OH 43605 on Saturday, October 2, at 10:00 A.M. with Father Eric Mueller officiating.
