Charles Dean Callan Jr., 19, of Toledo, OH passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  Charles was born in  Rome, Georgia to Kevin Sekel and Margaret Callan and also Charles Callan Sr.  Besides his parents, Charles is survived by his special parents: Larry Lanting and Tiffany Dukett; adopted son: Jaxon Marshall; sisters: Chasity Callan, Debra Higginbotham, Gloria Sekel; adopted sister: Bianca Lanting; brothers: Coty Higginbotham, Nick Callan; adopted brothers: Kayden Lanting and Matthew Meyers.

He is preceded in death by his adopted sister: Victoria Meyers; grandmother: Virginia Louise Wright.

Charles was the sales manager for East Toledo Firewood.  He enjoyed fishing, traveling, rapping, being on lemonland, detailing and cleaning cars and lawn scaping.  Charles was a loving son, brother and a friend to so many who will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2020 @4:30 P.M. at Habegger Funeral Services, 2001 Consaul St., Toledo, OH 43605.  National Suicide Prevention please call 1-800-273-8255.  Due to COVID-19, regulations and standards all visitors are required to wear facemasks and maintain social distancing at all times.  Visitation and services are limited to 30 visitors at a time and visitors will be asked to sign a waiver due to COVID.  Habegger Funeral Services is honored to serve the Callan family.  We encourage you to share a fond memory or condolence by visiting www.habeggerfuneralservices.com

  1. Charles was my best friend and the only one who was my son’s daddy that was not biologically his. He was a very great person just had alot on his mind that he couldn’t figure out how to let go of.

  2. he is a great person and he is a lover and a hard worker loved to be with family and friends and now is missed but wont be forgotten ever he was tall and loved to play around and we was friends you was always there when i needed someone u was there for me

  3. Charles touched the hearts of all those who crossed his path. He was an amazing young man and loved by many. He will be missed by all.
